amazon has no Page Rank

Hi

Why does Amazon have no Page Rank anymore? Is it only my computer that shows no PR for any of Amazon's URLs or something really happened to Amazon? If yes, what?

If you know something about this please share as I am very curious to know what is happening and I didn't find anything in Google about this topic.

mine show's as PR9 for http://www.amazon.com/. and PR7 for some category pages.

It happened to Twitter a few months back also...It took a little time to correct.

weird... same thing on my end...

I posted a thread today about Google having a PR9 instead of 10 as it's always had. My sites went from PR1 to PR3 overnight, so I guess Google is still playing around with their algorithm... it will most likely be adjusted in the next few days

Amazon has no page ranks, not 0... that means its being reindexed. Thrilling my PR went from 5 to 3 overnight.

I've checked just now using SEO quake and it shows no page rank but 724 million pages indexed by google

I didn't know that Twitter went through this as well. But since Twitter's PR returned, that means that Amazon's PR will also return.

Anyway, for a moment I thought that Google is dumping Amazon from their index

Recent pr updates must have messed it up.It should be up pretty quick.

Probably something to do with Google re-crawling all of the pages.

I know this has happened to a few other sites recently. At least they didnt get de-indexed like ripoffreport did.

I was never sure about the reason for Twitter...But it seemed to me it was because Twiiter changed their URLs and started using redirects.

Originally, it Twitter urls were like:
Superman (@superman) on Twitter

Now they use this format:
Twitter

And if you type in the first version, you will be redirected to the second.

What I can't figure out was why it affected Twitter's home page. I'm guessing it had something to do with the way Twitter's servers were handling the redirects.

But RipoffReport didn't get de-indexed either. It is still online and strong.

A few weeks ago Google changed the URL where the PageRank reporting tools get the PR data. Many of those tools aren't updated yet, so PR shows zero.

I use a plugin called Seostatus that has been updated. Amazon shows a PR of 9 in Seostatus.

I checked again and amazon still has no PR, but google and facebook have both a PR of 9

But I love Google lowering their own PR from 10 to 9

I didn't check Amazon's PR on purpose, I just happened to go to their page and notice there is no PR.

And since I never encountered this before for such big authority websites (I am still a beginner at IM) I got curious about why it was happening, and so I shot a short question here in the forum.

It doesn't really take that "way too much time" to check things like this or to ask a short question.
