I live in Canada and I am planning to setup a private network for personal use. Should I have them all sites/blogs setup on a .ca or .com in that case? Or perhaps a mixture? I figured that a backlink from a 'local' site/domain seems to have higher value than a foreign site? (or is that a myth)? |

No myth. Links from within a region help you rank within that region. You do not need to go after all .CAs though. Its enough that whatever domain you buy is hosted in Canada. Congratulations though. Nice to see that people are waking up to making investments in their own property than paying large monthly fees for software that gets them nowhere in most serps. |

Thanks Mike. Does it matter how many sites you hosted on each IP? Whats the average ratio? Thanks again |
