I have a niche site with a long form sales letter that doesn't get a lot of traffic but does rank #1 for some key terms. I want to change the long sales letter to a video squeeze page. Is it possible to to keep my rankings for the keywords that are already ranking #1 for if I change to a video squeeze page? It's not that competitive. exact phrase is about 45,000 results. Thanks, RMX |

Personally, I wouldn't change a sales page to video or even use a video sales page. I have found that text sales pages convert much better. And I've read other articles from top list building experts that you want to go with text. As for your question, it may affect your ranking as Google crawlers cannot read a video. If you feel you MUST add a video, I would say keep the text as well. |

Why not just add the video on top and keep the sales page as well?

The product I'm selling is high end and I just raised the price higher so I'm changing my sales funnel so it's sold exclusively through a recorded webinar. That's why I can't leave the long sales letter that sells the product and just add the video. Perhaps what I'll do is instead of selling the product from the sales letter, I'll shorten the letter some to sell them to optin to the free webinar. That way I could still add a video and hopefully still keep my ranking. RMX |

Search Engines like text pages more which they can easily crawl as compared to the pages with images and videos and flash which they can't crawl. So I would stick with the pages that has text and would not go for the video page.
