Alexa traffic Rank Question?

Is Alexa Traffic rank fake ?
Or
What is their criteria for determining rank ?

Alexa traffic ranking in a nutshell Alexa bases there page rank on the amount of people that have the alexa toolbars installed on their browsers that visit a particular site. So it is not really that accurate but it is semi accurate .. So if 100 people visit a site and only 25 of them are using the Alexa toolbar then alexa only records the 25 but you can still judge if its a high trafficed site or not by the alexa ranking ... Make sense

I don't care much for Alexa Traffic Rank. I want to rank better for Google so Google Page Rank is all I really care about.
