Guys, what do you think the policy is on this? If you knew somebody who had 50 solid adsense sites and on 49 of them was honest and followed all the rules, but on one of them they did something shady and lost their adsense account, would you say those other 49 sites are worthless now? The reason I'm asking is because I have a guy who is selling some of his old sites because his adsense account was banned. Would it be too risky for me to buy a few of the sites, change them up, add new content and then put my own ads on them? Worth it or not? |

I wouldn't buy sites from a banned adsense user. His sites are already tied with his adsense id, so all his sites might be in google's bad book.

Personally I wouldn't take the chance. I guess from my point of view, you're going to be doing a bit of work on them as you said, so you may as well just do the work to some completely new domains where you know for sure you shouldn't have any problems...as long as you do everything right with them .Cheers Rach |

| That's the thing. Nobody knows for sure on this one. His adsense account was banned, but his SITES were not banned. People are selling sites all day on flippa. How do you know those sites did not belong to a banned account at one time? How do you know that when you register a new domain that it wasn't someone's old adsense domain 5 years ago? It's really an interesting discussion.

If I was your financial adviser, I would strongly suggest you trash this idea. Those domains may have caught something you don't want.

As for flippa, sometimes i see sellers that are selling sites from a banned adsense account. I think i saw one very recently. That simply is a dangerous road to head down to if you're thinking of buying. Sellers shouldn't be doing this as it puts the new owner at risk. Unless you plan to use the sites for other monetization other than adsense. Sellers usually put up their latest adsense income statements to prove that their sites are in good standings and are still making good money from adsense. From this you know that the sellers adsense account is not banned. | |
