I think seo software's are all considered as spam, as i have read thin in a recent article from article snatch, may be we need to try manually to get links from particular websites.

I don't think there is any software or service that will show you 100% all your backlinks but as mentioned above Majestic is pretty awesome and close to 100% accuracy, so get it if you have the money.

I do like SEO SpyGlass for backlink research - it is much much cheaper than Majestic and collects backlinks from over 400 SEs - micro search engines like dog pile and nice backlink places like Blekko and Yahoo Site explorer.

Provider is talking about adding on Majestic too but that hasnt happened yet - and if it does I am pretty sure SEO SpyGlass will become THE backlink tool of the day - there are many features that let you bypass the 1000 backlinks per SE limit and what I like most about the tool is the analysis part - you get all sorts of metrics for backlink page and backlink domain:

Alexa, Compete, Google PR, Social Media popularity (Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Google +, Stumble Upon, Delicious), Link (seo) Value (sort of like KEI but for backlinks), backlink traffic with Google Analytics account integration (if you are analyzing your site's backlinks).

In short, I like it feature wise and price wise. And if you ever need backlink reports, they are on there too - looking pretty nice
