Question about PINGBACKS

Hi Lately i have been receiving a lot of ping backs and they all have just an excerpt of the article. Exactly what is a ping back and should i approve them?

A ping back is when your article has been read or tagged and you are informed of it.Most of the times you are right in saying that they contain just an excerpt of the article.Approve them with a Nofollow link.
