I was running a PPC Campaign for a local business owner with an $800 a month budget. I started his campaign on the 1st and by the 22nd it was depleted. He got a ton of leads, and i suggested that since he still had a week left in the month he should raise his budget to $900 per month. He told me that when he used Reach Local he only paid $650 for the entire month, got just as many leads, and always had the #1 spot... How is this possible?? Are they bidding on less keywords but higher bid prices? I figured if they blew through $800 there is more than $800 worth of people searching for his business...Any thoughts? |

I have heard that Reach Local get a lower CPC for keywords due to their volume. If that is true or not I don't know. Sounds like your client doesn't have a very good grasp on ROI if he is concerned regarding the spend. It could be because you are targeting slightly more competitive (higher CPC) words than Reach Local were, hence the increase cost, but this could be a better quality lead? |
