WP Syndicator

I was wondering if anyone else was having issues getting the Xanga account to automate with WP Syndicator, or if there have been any updates to this.

Not that I care to much about the extra backlink, but it would be nice if they all worked for the new site I'm using it on.

Xanga does not work with several of the automated posters.

Xanga is also a rel=nofollow link. they are not worth the effort ... for several reasons - that being just one.

hows posterous working for ya ?

From my BLE clusters posterous is not working at all.

I stopped using wp syndicator because all of the issues. It's a buggy plugin and I couldnt get any support.

xanga was removed from WPSyndicator some time ago. Make sure you are running the latest version (which should be 1.7.4)

Eh, I used to really like WP Syndicator until updates slowed down and I actually went back and checked some of my backlinks. I made a point to re-check my accounts after every update, so I know the problem wasn't on my end, but when I went back and checked my accounts I found that I had never once posted anything to Twitter, and it hadn't been working with several other sites either (though I don't remember specifically which ones).

So, seems like a great idea but doesn't work quite as well in execution.

Plus, these days I feel like the free options for auto/semi-auto syndication are better (if not quite as versatile or hands-off) simply because they generally have a much higher success rate. I like actually getting my links =)

By the way, I use a combination of Hootsuite, Seesmic, Linksalpha (occasionally and not quite free, but super cheap), Ping.fm and Posterous on my own sites. Works great...Always love me some Posterous.

Yes sir they are going thru some interesting code update cycles over there at posterous. We are coding in a fix for their new API 2.0 - we have to slow down and delay the posting process.

We've narrowed it down and found the issue - and have a functioning fix in a new update - but we have to go back into version 1.6.4 and make 1.6.5 fix a few things - we should have a release out soon.
