Default W3 Total Cache with Godaddy, does it work??

Hi Guys
I have installed W3 Total Cache on godaddy 4GH shared hosting, it increases my Y-SLOW grade to A (91) and page speed to 83.
However, the actual page load time increases from 3s to around 7s on my local machine! I have also tried it various times on webpagetest.org and i see a considerable increase in page load times.

W3 Total Cache works great on the sites i have hosted on hostgator, so my suspicion is that it must be something to do with godaddy as the sites are of the exact same configuration. I have many sites on this hosting and moving them to hostgator is too much work. Godaddy is very reputed, so there must be a way around this. I also rang godaddy but they said they can not help with configuration of wp plugins (which is fair enough).

Has anyone come across this issue?
Thanks guys.
