Hi, I just saw in my analytics that lots of people click on "Contact Us". I use Wordpress platform and have a simple theme with menu on top. My issue is I may be losing a lot of Adsense income if people go to contact page and probably leave from there and I don't even understand why up to 10% of people want to go there. None of them sent a mail because I didn't get any email. I initially created Contact Us, About Us, Privacy Policy, etc because many threads said Google requires those pages to be present. Maybe if I change it to Contact Form less people would click it? Or what would you advice? Thanks |

Perhaps they are looking for company details or want to find out your location.

Temporarily remove the 'contact us' link from menu but not the actual page and check the analytics report after a week or two.

Move the Contact & Privacy links from the Header to the Footer, should get less clicks. Most traffic will focus above the fold & not even pay attention to the footer. |

You may also be seeing traffic from programs designed to harvest email addresses from Contact Pages and not real human traffic at all. Quote:

You don't need a contact page or about us. Quite useless. If you insist upon having them, turn them into content pages, stick a search box there, or something else. You can have adsense on those pages. Google does not like adsense on pages that are blank except for adsense. "Content" comes in many forms. Paul |

Take advantage of it. Set up a mailing list, for example. But if you'd prefer less people clicking it, move it to your footer area.
