Hey guys, I will be launching a website for a new product in a couple of weeks and I am researching a few methods for driving traffic to the website in the shortest possible time-frame. Here are a few questions: Have you ever paid for SEO? What kind of results did you notice? Is it worth it? What price did you pay? Can you share the website link? Are there any other free methods that I should consider before paying for SEO? Please, no Black Hat or unethical methods. Thanks. |

Dear as your site is new then the first thing to be in mind that it takes time to be in top searches. Second you have to do two things. 1. On Page optimization : Firstly you have to optimized your on page like title tags, header, footer, image optimization, meta tags , meta description n all. 2. Off Page Optimization : The best things to get more traffic and to be in top searches link building is best. Start with the slow link building techniques and continues it till you will be there on top. |

@pagunston- SEO isn't a good choice for short term traffic building. You said that you wanted to get as much traffic as quickly as possible, so I'd probably look for promotion in social media, advertising on lists, maybe a really compelling affiliate program. Long term, SEO is most efficient way to earn money, no question. |

The 'best' SEO in the world would not turn you a profit at $100/ day. Some of the corporate companies pay upward of $10,000 / month for their SEO. What I would recommend is going to fiver and experimenting to see which backlinking gigs will work best with your site, you could also hire someone to make tweaks to your on page SEO to help you rank. |

Some paid services are very good.. but there are very lame service providers who claim to be the best (beware of them) If you are going to hire one make sure you are analysing their previous work |

I have never paid for seo but would make sure you have a firm contract stating what exact results that YOU dictate they will be paid for. I do seo myself but never know how much to charge for my extensive time, knowledge etc, pm me if you are interested. |

As others have pointed out SEO generates superior return on expenditure over the long term. In the short term you would probably be better off by spending on PPC.
