Still have no ranking in Google!

Hey guys,

About 2 weeks ago I've uploaded a site (it's mini so far but I plan to add more content to it and make it bigger over time) and AdSense to it using the CTR theme, built backlinks to it and still after 2 weeks or more I can't find it in Google....not in 1,000 positions...not for the main keyword and not inner keyword I've built links too as well....

The site involves Forex.

What should I do? I've never experienced such a long time without rankings and I have built plenty of sites during the year...any ideas?

Did you try a site:domain.com to check that the pages are indexed in the SERPs?

Hey Yukon my man,

Yeas, I did the site:my domain in Google.com and the thing that it shows my site but not all pages, and it's a very small site for now....so what does that mean? Didn't Google indexed all pages yet? After 2 weeks? I have probably 5-8 pages there and no more...

Ideas? Should I still be optimistic?

You can also try and ping your backlinks sometimes it help.

Some links I ping, some I don't since they are in other sites of mine that Google visits everyday.

Still, what do you think? Isn't it strange? Will it be OK and I'll see the site rank sometime soon?

What's the Google Cache date on the Index page & when was the exact date the Index page was published?

When I do the cache:my domain I get a 404...that it was not found on the server...what the??

keep patience sometime its takes time to increasing the ranking on Google.

Some of the pages are indexed as they appear when I type site:my domain

but it shows a 404 when I use the cache:my domain

So just keep building links and adding content? Never had this before...

Hey there

I'd just say that is completely normal. My plugins add tags that become new pages in google and they can take a while to get ranked
But some sites pages/posts are indexed within 24 hours
the good news is your site is indexed
the pages/posts however, may take a little longer to be picked up and that can related to your on site optimization for search terms

posts get indexed faster than pages

Remember google is dancing around every day but does its deep searching anywhere from day 1 to week 6

If it shows no cache for your pages...it seems that google crawled on it and if you check them again.. it will be running good. Its not at all a problem to worry.

site:domain.com won't show your every index page but one another thing you can do is submit a sitemap and check after couple of days how many pages has been indexed by Google from your webmaster account. It will show something similar to xx pages has been index out of total yy present in sitemap.

Pinging your site helps a little but there are some other ways to get your site's pages index faster by using social bookmarking sites and submission of sitemap but it is only a request to SE and not a mandatory.

you are in a competitive niche. Instead of thinking you did something wrong, consider that you did everything right but you just need to show the big "G" that you are more relevant for the term than the thousands of other sites that would like to rank for it.

You're right, I am in a very competitive niche but I target on main keyword which is 2,400 searches local in the US and the inner pages even less...also the sites on the first page don't look that good to be hard to beat, so I guess I'll keep adding content and building links, right?

1. forex is a highly competitive market, so unless you are going to extreme lontail keywords a new site isnt going to be ranking highly for the more competitive ones especially after 2 weeks unless you are a monster backlink building
2. if its a new site new domain etc. then buidling links too fast could have goten you in the sandbox in which case just wait a lil while slow down the link building and it should pop into google sometime soon.
3. search in google for site:http :// yourdomain .com and see if its there. if it is then you are indexed which is good and just a case of getting the rankings.

if you are indexed keep building links for your page (if you have been sandboxed then SLOW DOWN!) youre rank will come later.

finally google can take 3 weeks to update rankings properly so my best piece of advice is patience you are in highly competitive niche. hope this helps a bit!

Like I said before, the site is new but the keywords are searched only 2,400 per month for main keyword and less for inner keywords.

I didn't build too many links at all so it's not sandboxed if you ask me.

The situation is like this - when I do a site:my domain my site does show up but not all pages...

When I do cache:my domain the site does not appear and shows 404

New ideas now folks?

Uhmmm... that's not how a proper Google Cache works (404).

If your cache shows a 404 that means your server/site was down at the exact time that Google tried to crawl your Index page, If the cache you checked was for the index page.

If the Google Cache shows a 404 the problem is on OPs end.

Make sure your sitemap.xml file is exported correctly and submitted to google webmaster tools and yahoo site explorer https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com. After this pinging it and creating backlinks and ensuring that your backlinks are indexed would be the next steps. You are going to need to build more links especially if it's new.

It is hard to rank in google these days, learn google +, facebook, twitter, and stumble upon, also learn different types of paid website traffic these will help you rank well in the search engines.
