I have a question about the no follos links I use no follow links on my site to sculpt and preserve all my link juice from my home pages However I am at a loss what to do with the link to my post page. I would prefer not to waste juice on this link but I do not know how google trats these links exactly. Does no follow stop the google bot immediately so it will not find the content behind a no follow link, or does it just stop the link juice from going to that page but the bot will find content behind it? tyvm |

Nofollow links just stop the SE to pass on the link juice or rank weightage of that page , and it will find the content also. As you have seen many times that people asked that why google show the nofollow links also in their results. So content with nofollow links showed by google as it is the useful content. And that is why nofollow links helps to get the traffic but not be helpful in the ranking.

| Yikes.... No follow links are not supposed to pass page rank, but will be followed...guaranteed. If not, how do you explain why social bookmarking a site on no-follow sites will get your site indexed faster? Now...about that comment about not being helpful in ranking...utterly ridiculous. Which is going to rank higher of these two examples: #1 - New webpage with zero backlinks. #2 - New webpage with 50 no-follow backlinks. I will guarantee you #2 will win that battle every day assuming all other factors are equal. If you don't believe me go test it for yourself. Don't focus on no-follow/follow as much as you focus on quality of your overall backlink strength. I'd much rather have a no-follow link from a PR7 or PR8 site than 50 follow links from PR0 sites. (Besides...even Matt Cutts and other Google insiders are starting to mention they expect the no-follow attribute to become less of a factor in the near future, of course they could be blowing smoke....) |

It is believed that Google bots follow nofollow links for content discovery but they do not include nofollow links in their link graph. And I would advise you not to use nofollow in your internal linking structure. Allow PR to sculpt inbetween your pages, block the sculpting for pages like contact us and privacy policy. |
