I posted a new article on my site and I included some links to other pages on my site within the article. After publishing the article, I pinged it. The first question is - should I do that? Now I am receiving a pingback request in my Wordpress Dashboard asking me to approve the pingback. It looks like it's the links in the article I posted on my site. Should I approve the pingback, disapprove it, or ignore it? Thanks for any insight you can provide. |

hxxp://codex.wordpress.org/Introduction_to_Blogging Scroll half-way down the page and there's a whole long explanation on pingbacks. Hope that helps! |

No need to manually ping new pages/posts as WordPress does that automatically for you. As for pingbacks, just ignore any internal pingbacks and keep a list of external pingbacks so that you can check if they are worth indexing. |
