Since I've started creating a bunch of new sites in the months of October and November I've noticed something pretty strange happen to about 90% of my websites. Within a months time of a new website created it disappears. Sometime it's in the first week, sometime it's at the end of the month. But it get's stranger, For example (Say I created 10 new websites) On Nov 5th I had 3 websites that had disappeared, 3 websites that previously disappeared and came back, and 4 websites that haven't disappeared yet. On Nov 10th The 3 websites that disappeared would come back, the 3 websites that previously disappeared and came back, disappeared again. And out of the 4 websites that haven't disappeared 2 of them have disappeared. It happens week after week, new websites disappear, disappeared websites come back, and more new websites disappear. It's so frustrating. Besides all of this, rankings are jumping around like crazy. One week I'm #1 and the next I'm #9. Please don't comment and say "This is the google dance" because I've experienced the google dance over and over again and this is nothing like the google dance. A few important notes to take into consideration - I drip feed socialbookmarks to new websites for the first 2 weeks (only 50 SB's) - Does anyone do this also, how have you been noticing new websites? - All of my websites are in a specific niche, could this be a reason? - Could it be because every single website is on the same shared hosting? - Every websites backlinks are done the exact same way (for the past 6 months) and I've never had any experience like this until the recent Oct. 13th update. - A few of my websites are probably 2+ months old now and haven't been touched with ranking flucuations or disappearances. Why would this be with the same backlinking structure? - Every previous website I've created (around 40 websites) in the past 4 months (May - Aug), that I didn't recently create are hard as a rock, no ranking flucations, no nothing. Normal as could be. - The content on these websites are quality - I've written it all myself. Keyword density is low, everythings legit. I'm looking for someone in the same boat as me to toss ideas back and forth, any and all comments welcome.. Just looking for an answer. Thanks, Jeremy |

I am experiencing the same behavior with newly created websites. Sorry to say but i am still clueless. I know it's neither dance nor sandbox |

Since the last (confirmed) Panda update in October 14th, there are pretty strange things going on... However, your websites are new ones so i don't know if that relates to Panda as they probably got Sandboxed.

Why 40 new sites in 3 weeks? How many pages per site? How many keywords per site? |

I had this happen to me as well. Site went from number 12 to out of the top 1000 listings for two of my pages that I had backlinked. I thought it was a "google slap" at first as the number of backlinks are kind of high for a new site (I have a lot (1500?) of forum sig links on some of my own related niche forums). The other sites I'm working on (3 currently) that I did not do this to are sitting fine. They're not optimized, the content isn't up to par and they're sitting on the 11th SERP page as they should. They were also online since February where this one came online about a month ago. I still have backlinks being dripped out by linkliscious, and found others I never did, so I'm assuming those are organic. This past Friday I noticed a bunch more backlinks in my Webmaster tools. The next morning my backlinked pages were out of the rankings, but still indexed.. Site was created Oct 22nd. I redid a few of my forum sig backlinks to aim at different pages and keywords and made a few small changes to the site to clean it up a bit, but the page quality was good, and informative, and in this case, most of it was made for users, not google. Keywords around 2-3% total content with 800-1600 page articles. I'm going to continue adding the pages I had planned and just see what happens. If it bounces back, I'll attribute it to a dance, but like the OP said, this I've never seen it happen like this out of the 10-12 sites I run. I have a feeling being patient is the best course of action for this learning experience. |

It sounds like normal new site Google dancing to me...*shrugs* It's always been like that... I know you don't want to hear that...but what makes you think it's something besides regular google dancing/sandboxing? Maybe it's more extreme now because of the recent Panda strangeness that's hit everyone... |

It's just different, tis all. Before they'd bounce maybe 10 pages then back down. This is gone. Like Google won't show anymore SERP's and it's still not showing up gone for those keywords.

Try not building links until week 3... that was what my new sites that maintained rankings had in common
