Alexa rank falling

Can someone tell me why a sites Alexa ranks fall?

I am adding content like never before and now Alexa rank falls. When I didn't add any content the Alexa rank was falling very slowly. But now over 2 days it was falling over 500,000.

Can someone tell me why?

Wouldn't worry about it... Alexa's inaccurate.

Because other sites that attract large numbers of people who have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browsers are getting more traffic now.

Concentrate on getting more traffic. Adding content is good. Work with other site owners (leave blog comments, guest post, do something nice for them).

Alexa ranking is more applicable to well established sites. For new ones it fluctuates considerably.

Alexa calculate rank based on Traffic estimate to site.

I notice all my sites rank changes everyday but not to worry about alexa rank, just keep working on SEO and don't forget to track ranking of your keyword for your site in SE which count most not alexa rank. :-)

Alexa rank is not perfect but yet it is helpful to know the situation of the traffic whether increased or decreased. As alexa rank decreased then it means visitor increased of your site. And if alexa would increased then you need to increase the traffic of your site by providing the new and useful content then your alexa rank will decrease and you will get the best results.

alexa is not accurate. It only counts visitor that has install alexa toolbar on their computer.

My site have drop in traffic when I decided to change the hosting. Well alexa rank my site low at this point of time.

When my traffic is recovering my site rank in alexa increase.

Encourage your visitors to install the Alexa toolbar and use and install yourself if you don't have it installed. The more people that visit your site and pages that have it installed the more your Alexa rank will increase. It isn't the most accurate ranking system in the world though.

Well my site is not that old. in the begging of this year I had Alexa rank about 300.000 now when I am more active my Alexa rank falls to 2,500,000.
