I just added Google +1 to one of my sites for the first time. For some reason it appears on the www. sitename .com but not the sitename .com. So when I remove the www from the URL the page loads but there is no Google +1. Please let me know the best way to solve this. This also happens with my backlinks. The www version has less backlinks than the non-www version. It's like I have two sites that need to be merged. If anyone has experience with this please let me know how you resolved it. Thanks, M |

Thanks Jonas but I just found out it was a cache issue. The Google +1 is resolved but I would still like to know why my backlinks have different numbers depending on if I have "www" in the URL or not. |

At present two versions of your website is available to the users as well as to the search engines. You have to merge them, other wise neither of two versions get full credit of your SEO efforts. Your backlinks are splitting between www and non-www version, for instance. SO, set a 301 redirect to your preferred version and set your preferred domain in Google webmaster tools. |
