Default Fewer Ad Blocks = Higher CPC?

Hey guys:
So is it true that the more ad blocks on the page, the lower the CPC is? I'm trying to optimize my site and want to know if this theory is fact or fiction?
I have taken advice from other Warriors here for my site:
Male Dog Names | Female Dog Names | Dog Obedience Training, and right now it appears that the link unit is winning out over every other ad.
Feedback? Experience? suggestions? If having fewer ads on my site will raise my average I am all for it. THX guys.
