Yea, this is just Yahoo purging links in their database. Don't really worry about it.

Did your rankings drop? I'm sure the answer is no, the links are still there, Yahoo is just displaying less so no worries.

There have been some rumors that Yahoo Site Explorer will be shutting down by the end of this year. If not, perhaps early next year. Maybe that scenario has something to do with it. I have seen a huge decrease in my backlinks according to Yahoo...I supposed they are not updating their database anymore in that tool. |

This is known one that Yahoo may or might be considered as a second best SE in web world. So yahoo wont think to lose its customer being as a second man. But the rumor is spreading in air that Yahoo is going to close by this end of the year. We can't say exactly that yahoo is not updating its data base or its going to close by this year or any other issues may live with them. Who know exactly about yahoo except yahoo? Most of the site's back links may cut down into off but the keyword positions for a website are standing in the same place without any changes. so its not giving any affect for Google keyword position. I think that there is no any deep relation between yahoo back links and Google keyword position. And also the PR is not changing by this reduced back links. In total yahoo is using for website back links in SEO. |

Given that the vast majority of links built to Agriya in the past are low quality social bookmarks / directories / article submissions / profiles I'm not surprised that Yahoo is purging out all these links. They probably never added any value in the first place.Peter

Facing same for my links also, Yahoo is clearing up with data storage, or may be shutting down.

Yahoo Site Explorer is not just the only tool that we can use to check our backlinks. There are so many free backlink checker tools out there that we can use.

It's already confirmed that Yahoo Site Explorer will be shutting down this coming November 21, 2011 (Monday) according to some news (searchengineland.com). So it has something to do with the information that they are providing recently. You can check your backlinks using other backlink checker tools like seocentro and backlinkwatch. |

Searchengineland.com wrote that Yahoo will be closing down Yahoo Site Explorer this coming Monday, November 21, 2011, Site Explorer will cease to exist. The short Yahoo blog post reads: With the completion of algorithmic transition to Bing, Yahoo! Search has merged Site Explorer into Bing Webmaster Tools. Webmasters should now be using the Bing Webmaster Tools to ensure that their websites continue to get high quality organic search traffic from Bing and Yahoo!. Site Explorer services will not be available from November 21, 2011. |

I also checked out the link command in "Blekko." Not too bad. I like how it will sort them by date. But it doesn't show many links!
