Post Hubpages Says Duplicate Content I Say No Way

Hey Friends,

I wrote an original article on hubpages and it ranked very high for the keyword phrases I was targeting so I thought I'd get more exposure by copying the article and putting it on my website. So about 3 days later hubpages took my article down and deemed it duplicate content.

Anyone else have a problem with this?

Solutions welcome...

They consider duplicate content in two ways: Plagiarized content - copied from someone else. Duplicated content: Content found anywhere on the web.

Also don't forget that Hubpages are No Follow, whereas Squidoo is Dofollow and does not have the Duplicated content problem.

This said, Hubpages are good for traffic.

I stopped using HubPages a while back, after they flagged one of my (completely original) hubs as duplicate content. After appealing and getting denied again I ran my content through Copyscape just to see if someone had scraped it and published it elsewhere, nope.

I seriously questioned the quality of their filters after all that ruckus.
