Default Somebody Help Me!! Can't Index My Site

Hi Guys,
I'm pulling my hair in frustration. I built a site an amazon affiliate site a month ago. Then foolishly used a plugin that auto posted amazon's content reviews. After a week or so, i took it off when i realised it hasn't been indexed because google may see the content as duplicate.

I then placed fresh unique review content on it, built links and submited it to rss sites, bookmarkand web 2.0 sites and blog networks . Today i submitted a sitemap.

Each time i do a search on google for the site, i only see my links from other sites and not my site plus suggestions of other similar domain names. COULD IT BE THAT THE DOMAIN HAS BEEN BANNED OR SLAPPED?

It thought so thats why i've changed the content and it's been over 2weeks and still no show. I don't want to buy another domain name and build another site. I have done all i could to get the site indexed. What else can i do.

Hey,

Use the site:domain.com command to see if your site is indexed at all.

If it is not, then build a few links to it, submit your sitemap to Google again and post on social sites.

Also setup Webmaster tools and see if you get any messages or crawl errors.

If you give me your domain name I can look into it a bit more for you if you like.

Is the domain new? I guess so, so most probably it's not banned. It's something else that it's keeping your site out of Google index, and ain't auto plugins either.

Try this: Internet Marketing & SEO Forum - IMT Website Submitter

I hate indexing races (whats the point??) but this ^^ works pretty well to get new sites indexed fast.

Good luck mate.

What's the domain name? It doesn't by any chance end in (dot) co (dot) cc does it? If so, the whole .cc domain has been de-indexed

.cc's have all been pulled ?

Hey OP.
It's only been a month.
It's a brand new site.
There is a zillion different circumstances going on that are holding it down.

You can't force it, build another site or more content or more links while you are waiting.

A month is not enough time for your site to be indexed... just relax and stop stressing about these kinds of things otherwise your life will be extremely stressful... a tip for fast indexing: Add a Google +1 button to your site and click on it, you will usually be indexed within days, also 'spam' your domain on identi.ca and twitter.com and Google will come running.

I use attracta to constantly check if my sites are still in Google. It also allows you to submit your sitemap every week. Worth checking out if you want to find out if you've been blacklisted by google or not.

Using Twitter and Facebook and submitting to RSS feeder would bring traffic to your page and get it indexed faster.

Another good option to get most of your pages indexed is to create a sitemap. Ping your sitemap url with pingomatic or ping.in. This will get your sitemap visited by crawlers.

Recently I had one of my 'main' sites completely disappear from Googles index. It was still cached.. but it wasn't in the search results at all.. although 'other' inner pages from the site was. After a couple of weeks I discovered that I had 'noindex, nofollow' in the header :-/ I previously changed the template and had a couple of versions of the template... one of which had this nofollow, noindex in. A daft mistake on my end.. shortly after correcting this the site bounced straight back to the top of Google for my main keywords.

So... the take home from this rather long ramble... just check that you don't have 'noindex, nofollow' in the meta.

it may not be that your domain is banned. It just might be potentially that the individual page that has the Amazon content posted on it didn't make it to being indexed in the search engine results pages. As long as a majority of your site content is unique, you're pretty much good to go. Focus more on creating unique content and auto posting less Amazon pages on your domain, although it's also good to install a WordPress auto affiliate link plug-in, and you can configure the plug-in within your WordPress dashboard, versus reposting Amazon content on your site with your unique affiliate link embedded in it and potentially being labeled as duplicate content. Hope this helps :-)

Use Social Media to get exposures like social bookmarking sites with good pr rankings. Google has some reason to hold your site and not to be index because when SE finds duplicate content the SE crawler will stop and skip your site.

We can help you more if you post your site's address.

I'm with trytolearnmore. I use Google webmaster tools a lot. Try to force Google to index your site using webmaster tools. If that doesn't work, I suggest you view your site's html and look for any "noindex" tags that may have made it to the code accidentally. I use Chrome. All you have to do is press ctrl-U to view the code, and crlt-F to pull up the search bar. Search for noindex.

Thanks guy for your suggestions. Roberto, i've checked and there isn't any noindex on my site. Someone suggested to me to ask google for reconsideration using the webmaster tool. I'm now waiting to hear from them.

Well, good luck. I hope it gets indexed.

I know it sucks when Google drops the hammer on you. I had a money website at #1 on Google. 3 days before launch time, my website disappeared.

Let me know if I can help.

I get my websites indexed using Webmaster tools a bit differently: find on the left sidebar "Diagnostics", click on it and then go to "Fetch as GoogleBot." There you just click on "Fetch" to get your main website indexed.

Edit: Thanks Roberto. Don't forget to click on "Add to Index"

I was talking about that too. Don't forget to click on add to index. That's where the magic happens.
