Default How to find out if your site is indexed?

Dumb question I know, but how do I find out?

Lots of the 'is my site indexed?' sites say it isn't. Yet if I whack the URL into Google it, as well as my pages, comes up in the results.

Any tips?

search google using - site:website.com - obviously replacing website with your own url. If your web pages show up you are indexed.
Also use googles webmaster tool.

hope that helps

The easiest way to find out if a particular page, as opposed to a site, is indexed is to pull some obscure text from a page and put it in quotes in the search engine's query box.

Rob Noble's advice is exactly what you need.

But to get it indexed faster, (I'm just assuming here that you're not aware of this ), go here https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...inue%3D/addurl

Best of luck with your new site!

Type in your url in a search engine and view the results. If your site has been indexed, then it will appear among the results.

Hey Jim

Don't feel you have to thank people for helping you out or anything
