Default Backlink Question

Alot of the times whenever you post a comment on a blog with a backlink, it seems like 9 out of 10 times they either don't get accepted, or they get deleted.

I have emails for each websites I own. Instead of placing the URL of my website in a blog commented or on a forum signature, can't I just put my email with my url in it?

For example: tim@mydomainname.com would this count as a backlink since it has my website name in it?

Not all the links are counted as backlink. Only do follow links are counted.no follow links are not counted but it may help to increase your traffic. In the case of blog most of the links are no follow even blogger has no follow links in its posts. but you can add your link in your profile . just search the google for do follow blogs.

Some time it will be considered as a back link while crawling by SE. But its rare. its better to add your URL. If a blog is do follow then you will get back link as well as traffic to your site but if you add your mail id contained your domain name, some time it will be considered as a back links but it wont give traffic for any time.

Choose the best one by your self along with more analyze with some other senior in Link Building.

You can write Tim | My keyword here and link "My keyword here" to your site. It still looks a little more legit and personal than just the keyword.

I have found the blog owners like it a little more than just the keyword itself.

Do you have a BuildMyRank account, but are getting bored to tears writing the posts? Or worse yet, you're not writing them at all?
We do BMR posts, so you don't have to! Only .95 a post - see your site shoot up the ranks!

You can make your keyword as a signature and place it under your comment. However, you can add some prefixes or suffixes to your keywords to make it more natural looking. But this doesn't mean that you will have an assurance for your comments to get approved.

If the moderator is not in a good mood in approving comments, or he/she don't accept any comments, it is still useless.

I've found this to be the case as well. One thing I would like to add though is to add value to the post. Give a little in your comment that really adds to the quality of the whole post. The author will be happy for the content and not see you as just someone trying to scrape out a free backlink. This will also help if you come back and comment in the future.

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

No that wont count as a backlink.

Also if you do that with a real mail address it will get scooped up by
spambots and you will be bombarded with spam.

Getting comments approved is really affected by the following:

  • quality of the comment i.e. decent length, directly relevant to the post and value adding
  • url of your site, no one wants to allow comments linking to squeeze pages etc.
  • anchor text, comments by "Mr. Cheap Car Insurance" will struggle to get approved
Also make sure your comments are actually being submitted and are not being bounced by "Akismet". If you have too many un-approved comments on WordPress then your email address, IP address and target domain (url you are linking to) will all be flagged in Akismet, a central anti spam system. Once you are listed there then all your comments on all sites will go to the spam box.

It is not always clear when you have been "Akismetted" some sites tell you others do now, the best way to test is to setup a wordpress blog of your own, submit a comment whilst not logged in as admin and see whether it goes to your "comments pending approval" list, or the list of "spam comments".

best to include your whole url as a backlink, if you include your email often the link will show mailto: before the email address and dont think this will lead anywhere to your site!
