What other type of link building strategy!

Hi,
I had been ranking my sites by using profile links,blog comments, social bookmarking, From the last few months i am not getting the desired results by using these older techniques of link building.
Are you able to tell me what other techniques are helpful to rank my sites higher in google?

try to do guest blogging or exchange articles with intext contextual links these are proving to be very valuable. also writing some other blogs such as wordpress.com or blogger blogspot etc will help, and then build links to those too! setting up some good content on your own sites and use those a link bait can also work, then try some niche specific forum posts and not just profile links they will work much better

Those methods are a good start, but how exactly are you doing it? (Ie manually or using some sort of service?) Article marketing is another major technique similar to the three you have already discussed. I'd recommend submitting a few articles to ezinearticles.com. And creating free blogs as ajw888 has said can also be a very good strategy.

I have found the blog commenting , video , articles , social bookmarking and directory submission as the best methods for my site. And specially i get more result through the blogs and blog comments. So keep on using these methods but with providing the new and meaningful content and description in your submission so that people like to click on your link.

You might try some of the following:

• Blog Commenting
• Forum Posting
• Social Media
• Web 2.0 Sites
• Press Releases
• Article Marketing (Ezine Articles / Blog Network Syndication Programs)

A lot of these methods are getting discounted by the latest Google algo changes, especially if you are using software or leaving a footprint in your methods.

You need to concentrate more on on page SEO these days more than ever.

That said, back linking is still the number one way to rank sites, just ensure you diversify and create links organically, include real social signals and +1's etc.

I had never used any services since i started any backlinking.I always create the links manually.

Profile links also gives the result but too slow, I can give you many examples of that. I am looking for permanent SEO tactics.Sooner or later time may come when the profile, comments, bookmark will not work, that's why i said permanent.
