Default What to do if someone steals your content?

One of my articles posted on EZA has been posted on newsdx.com without any link or reference to EZA or my site. I've tried a comment explaining the source which was rejected, I've emailed them with no response.

I've read to send a DMCA notice to the hosting company, but the only thing that shows up as their host is name-services.com which doesn't even seem like a real hosting site. So basically I'm at a loss with how to proceed, any advice?

I'm not sure if it's worth the amount of time and effort it would take to try and get that article taken down. There could be five other people who've copied your article that you don't know about so I would focus your efforts on more important things instead.

I agree with Becker13 & eviezamora, don't wasting your time.
I'm sure, that person who copy your article know exactly the consequences, but they still doing it.

Well dont worry about any thing, just leave it up to Google, it would be penalizing and catering for the copied content by its own self. (Panda Update)

Absolutely file the DMCA notice. Don't just ignore it. If they stole your content, they are probably working in your same niche or a very similar niche. If you just let it go, they may very well do it again, and again, and again.

I currently have the same issue with Ezinearticles. The individual has today stolen the beginning of my article, and is ranking much better than I am for the keyword. Their is no mention of Myself, but Ezine articles are the recognised source. It looks like an auto blog that is an adsense site.

I have put a message into ezine articles to see if they can identify it through the RSS feed that is clearly being used, and close it down...otherwise too right I will go to Google and put in a copyright infringement- Bye bye Adsense account I believe!!

The option that you can do is to file it to DMCA. Don't stop reminding them of your case until they notice you.

Sure it sucks when someone steals your content.

If it's not ranking on page #1 in the SERPs for your keyword, I wouldn't worry much about them.

Like someone already mentioned, If it's an Adsense page, that will change the guys attitude real quick If it's reported to Adsense and they take action against them.

If it's a site scraping articles or whatever, I doubt very much they will respond to a DMCA, their host might respond, but that won't stop them from doing it twice on a new domain. Hitting them in the pocket (Adsense) will change their attitude real quick, especially If they have multiple sites running Adsense.

Hi JTringer,

I recommend sending a DMCA copyright infringement notice (aka take down notice) to the ISP or webhost of the site with the infringing material.

The take down provisions of the DMCA only apply to ISPs/web hosts and to search engines. So, sending the DMCA notice to the website owner probably won't get any response. However, the ISPs/webhosts and search engines will respond to a properly written DMCA notice because it is in their interest to do so.

Let me know if you need any help with the notice.

I know it is late to reply. But just let it go because it always happens like that. Besides, how did you write the article? Isn't it you did a research by reading OTHER articles and rewrite those articles in other words/sentences to make it unique?
