Default Didn't Scrapebox Plan In Advance for the Death of Yahoo Site Explorer?

I have both SEO Spyglass and Scrapebox. I used to use SEO Spyglass to get info on where other sites are getting backlinks from. Then I switched to Scrapebox because the backlink checker addon combined with the rest of scrapebox meant that I could quickly rip down all the URLs for an entire site, then source all the backlinks for every URL of that site and then quickly check the PR for all the pages which were pointing backlinks at the site.

Now it looks like I'm going to have to go back to SEO Spyglass (and lose a lot of time) because Scrapebox is pulling Zeros with its backlink checker tool.

Didn't they plan in advance for this like Market Samurai, SEO Spyglass, and others?

staying on with seo spyglass - if you are working with large sites/large backlink volumes it helps to break down tasks in seo spyglass - find backlinks first and then analyze them instead of doing two things at once. also captcha breaking service really speeds things up too, esp if you have a large site

Don't mean to bump an old thread, but there's a new backlink checker add-on inside of Scrapebox. I'm not exactly sure where it's pulling its data from. Just started testing it tonight. Guess I'll need to experiment with it more.

I haven'y used the scrapebox backlink puller in a while. I am sure it will be updated with the next update.

It was updated a little over a week ago.

How did the testing go JS? What do you think compared to YSE?

Doesn't seem to give as many results. I'm not exactly sure where it's pulling its data. What's odd, though, is that the death of YSE and the backlink checker in Scrapebox was huge news. it was widely considered one of the best features in SB and some people were in a full-on panic.

But there is hardly ANY discussion about the new backlink checker. I figured it'd be big news. Maybe it's because it's not nearly as good as the old one?

Yahoo Site Explorer has existed for a long time so it is for certain that Scrapebox didn't really anticipate its shutdown. Though, it is easy to find another source and incorporate it to the software.

I just did a small test.

Scrapebox's link checker gave me 8 results
SEO spyglass - 2965

Is this the kind of difference other's are seeing as well. I just want to make sure I don't have something configured wrong in scrapebox.

No, that seems about right. The new backlink checker seems to be pretty awful at this point.
