Default Credit card processor?

What if I have a company, with an online presence that wants to take credit card payments.
I can go the bank route which is more time consuming and expensive .

Can I just set up a shopping cart and accept clickbank payments (which is credit cards available for payment)

Most of the clients could pay by Paypal IF they had a paypal account but I think many do not, and would want to pay by credit card.

If I was a clickbank merchant, I MIGHT want to accept affiliates but I might not. In other words I mainly would only look at them to process my credit card orders and take their cut. What is their cut, by the way? I seem to remember something like 7 percent?

Or other suggestions are welcome. I guess I could apply to be an Amazon merchant also. Not sure about all these companies

There are plenty of places where you can get an instant merchant account online. Google is your friend, just be sure to research your findings as many have hidden fees that will eat you alive. Secondly, anyone can pay you through PP even if they do not have a PP account. If they have a valid credit card they can make the purchase. You can also look at Google's payment service. As for CB, you have to wait so long to get paid and the refund policy over there is too liberal for my taste (as a merchant). There is also 2checkout.com but their rates are pretty high. Hope that helps.

You can use payment processors like 2Checkout, Plimus and Fastspring. Most of IM'es use these services and get payments

Checking Paypals website
apparently you can process orders by credit card

I assume they just accept credit cards also, and process it through your paypal account and they dont have to have a Paypal account (I think ) because
well I am not sure how it works

anyone accepted credit cards Via Paypal?

I would venture to say that one or two have. I know I have. It works.
