I tried PPC with Adwords then my account got banned. Bing worked really well for me but then they shut down my ad and basically said I couldn't direct link. And 7search hasn't earned me anything. So what do I do now as far as PPC is concerned ? I've been promoting email/zips, should I switch from that? Or should I move from CPA all together ? I was thinking maybe I could try my luck with some of the CPA offers with higher payouts that req full sign ups, cc submits, purchases, ect. But those would cost more money to push through a PPC campaign, and I really don't have the funds to experiment with these kinds of offers. I tried the SEO route and after seeing Adie's success with it, it's really the method I would prefer to go, but after reading so much about panda updates, how this doesn't work and how this does, how this is dead and that is the only way, and blah blah blah, it's really hard for me to know what exactly am I supposed to do. I've just been flooded by so many conflicting ideas, methods and theroy it's really hard to make moves as far as SEO is concerned, and really brings down my Internet marketing morale. And the fact I really only had true success with PPC is putting the idea in my head that maybe that's the route best suited for me. Could someone Give me advice as to what my next move should be in order to secure success ? |

No reason to be rude. Nevertheless, I wasn't questioning my ad account standings, I'm asking for help on how I can improve as an Internet marketer, and patronizing doesn't help at all.

My fault. I misread the beginning of the post. Bing only shut your ad down (for not following their TOS), they didn't actually ban you. I still stand by my original statement though. Before using anyone's service, make sure you read and understand their TOS. Things go a lot smoother that way. Using PPC to drive traffic to a CPA offer is a very bad idea unless you really know what you are doing. Not something I would recommend for anyone fairly new to PPC or internet marketing in general. You will most likely end up spending more on the ads than you are making off the CPA offer. If you are going to stick with CPA, I would recommend looking into other less costly methods to find traffic like social media or SEO. Once you have some cash to burn, you can test your hand at PPC.

Affiliate 101 in Adwords is you can not direct link. You need to buy a domain and build a nice landing page or mini site. Maybe you can re-direct your new domain to the vendor, I know you could do that in the past but I have not used adwords in a while. i get all free traffic now. Adwords cost me a wife...but now that I look back it was well worth it!

The handholding is the reason why most come into a community like this forum this forum. Negative reinforcement never works in end, it tends to be only a temporary insulin spike to use a proper analogy.

I think you should stick with what's working for you my friend and capitalize off that. You can sign up as many accounts with Google as you can. There's no limit. If they ban you just sign up another a new account and don't do what got your ban, voila problem solve. Try a new offer that's my 2 pennies, hopes it helps |

Second, the thing with PPC is that it's not feasible if you don't have at least a little bit of funds to experiment with. You may spend a little bit of money on a campaign and watch it fail or maybe break even, and then you're out of funds to tweak your campaign - when maybe the next tweaks would have made the campaign profitable. So, you need funds to ride out the 'experimental period' basically until you can get to a profitable state. This is true especially for beginners. A seasoned PPC marketer may be able to take a few bucks and turn it into a profitable PPC campaign (that usually doesn't even happen). However, that is tough to do for a complete beginner. I would advise trying other ways to make some cash first and then come back to PPC with some funds (if you like PPC and want to continue experimenting with it). Quote:
Do some keyword research and set up one or more websites and experiment away with them. Find out what helps you get rankings and traffic and what doesn't. Then keeping learning more as you go along. That's the only way you will learn. What if you end up discovering some new way to rank a site that no one has discovered yet? You'll never find that out by reading forum posts. If you enjoy PPC and think that is your calling, that is great, but it's still good to diversify your business so an account getting banned somewhere doesn't shut down your entire business. If you want to get back into AdWords, I would appeal the ban on your account while at the same time figure out a way to open a 2nd (legitimate) account, read the TOS and do things right with this account so you don't get banned again. At the same time learn some SEO by taking action yourself and not by reading only, and maybe you will end up making some cash to use for your PPC campaigns. Worst case scenario of jumping into SEO? Nothing happens. You waste a little bit of your time and a few bucks for domains & hosting. Best case scenario? You find a winner which completely changes your life.

I think we should have basic understanding of the TOS of any network as when we are going to work with any site atleast we should know its working rules/norms.
