I have an unusual case. I want to gain number one for a very competitive keyword set, lets say "Blue Widgets". By luck I managed to buy the domain bluewidgets.com (example) from somebody who registered it in late 1998 but never used it. So, I had an unused (except for holding page) 1998 Domain that mysteriously had PR1 for no reason (it never had any backlinks). I stuck a few pages up around "blue widgets" and within months it came up to PR3 (again with no backlinks!) and Google page 3 for the search term "blue widgets". If I anchor backlinks with "blue widgets" pointing to bluewidgets.com could I reach number one even though it is an *VERY* competitive niche? The FAR bigger players have much more money resources and huge SEO budgets trying to get to number one for this term!! Could I crack them? Thanks |

Since it's such a competitive keyword why not just say it so folks could actually take a look and give you a real answer.
