I have 2 days off from work finally and my goal is to put up 10 niche sites with their first article or review in those days. I'm not sure if a couple of them would be better off if I focused on the related Amazon product or Adsense. I usually add both but how should I decide which to put above the fold?

Hi twotoofs! Adsense and Amazon are two very different funnels. I would say go with the one that will bring in the most money to you. If you are promoting a product niche with Amazon, you could make several dollars more than with Adsense which will only bring you roughly .25 to $1.00 per click thru. However, with Amazon you will only make money if someone purchases a product through your aff link, where as, you will get money every time a view clicks through an Adsense ad. You will need to figure out your theme and purpose with each site to determine which will monetize better for you. Peace. | |

I have noticed that my sites that have both don{t perform so good as compared to if i only use one or the other, so my suggestion is to split test them for your particular niche. different niche = different results |

I personally focus on Amazon or eBay meself. I found Adsense to be quite disappointing after I lost the targeted traffic that was making it useful for me. To make lots of money with adsense, you need huge amounts of targeted traffic. I personally think Amazon.com and eBay deliver far greater results. |

Others always report otherwise but my sites which have both do better than the ones which only have one monetization method. You just have to know where to place the Amazon and Adsense ads so visitors will either click one or the other.

It really depends on what your site is all about. If it's information based, Adsense may be perfectly fine. If it's based around a particular product or a series of products, Amazon is the better. I personally have had much more success with Adsense. The thing about it is as long as your site gets a high CPC, you'll be successful with even moderate traffic. |

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

Me personally I would do a test on both. For example I would let an Amazon product run on the site for a week. Then I would take down the Amazon links and then add Adsense. Let that run for a week. Which ever brings in the most profits will be the winner. I would recommend not to put both on a site. |

I still haven't! As stated I'm using both together with adsense performing much better so I should probably remove the Amazon links with a view to increasing adsense CTR...
