Default Blog Commenting

Any advice?

I've tried it before, manual blog commenting, but whenever I comment they never get published. Even if they're really good comments, they either don't get published because the blog is just inactive and the owner doesn't bother to moderate the comments OR the blog is active and it gets published but backlinkwatch.com never finds it, even after a couple of weeks (even over a month in fact).

Any help? Frustrated.

Make sure the blogs your commenting on are active first of all. After that, make sure the comments you are providing are relevant to the topic and aren't spammy. If you link back to your blog in any spot other than the website field, you may be marked as spam..

The first thing I do once I come across a dofollow blog (I don't actively look for nofollow blogs) is check the homepage. If there's a few posts or comments within the past 30 days or so then there's a good chance that it's an active blog. Next, I'll add a comment to one of the more recent posts. If it's approved within a reasonable amount of time (a few days or so) I'll save it and eventually comment on a few inner posts with PR.

Though inactive blogs have value as well. You can take a look at the comments that were approved in the past and see where else they have commented. If someone has commented on one blog, chances are they've commented on others. You can find a lot of really great blogs this way.

Develop sure the sites your leaving feedback on are effective first of all. After that, ensure that content you are offering are appropriate to the subject and aren't spammy. If you weblink back to your web page in any area other than the web page area, you may be noticeable as trash..

Blog commenting is god one way link building technique but it is more effective when do only relevant blog comments. If the blog comment link is dofollow then it is more good in the SEO point of view...

Well you can see the date of the previous comments before posting your comment. In that way you can assure that your comment will be posted especially if someone has recently posted a comment.

Find niche relevant Dofollow blogs and comment on the blog only after reading the post. Write relevant and informative comment and don’t write just "Thank You" and "Nice information". When you provide helpful information in the comments it increase the chances of getting approved.

Manual blog commenting is good one to get backlinks. Try to comment post relevant content. Automatic blog commenting is the black hat seo technique. So try to avoid that.

No prob.

Basically it just comes down to making sure the blog is active, and avoiding the temptation to go straight for the posts that already have PR. My approval rates are MUCH better if I comment on a recent post first, then move onto an older post.

Well it can be time consuming but try to keep track of the URL where you comment and revisit after couple of days to check if your link is there or not. If not try to figure out what type of comments are already there (having links or not) etc.

Blog commenting can be really great for backlinking once you find the right blogs. It's true that they're less reliable then other sources because you're at their mercy waiting for the comment to be approved.

It's great when you link up with a good dofollow blog. Many times I have found that they will answer and you have a whole conversation that is not only sending you backlinks but, perhaps more importantly, developing an online conversation with a well ranked blogger.

Do you have evidence that blog commenting isn't effective? Seems like you're stating it as a fact.

There's not an easier way, IMO, to get dofollow backlinks with PR. But you can just fly through a few hundred blogs with "Thanks! Great post!" comments. You have to actually contribute to the post itself.

I think comments are becoming less effective now that more and more people are using Disqus and other third party solutions.

Luckily I made something that can automate disqus. It's a combination of IE automation (with Watin) and an AutoIt3 script that actually moves the mouse. Not sure if there's an easier way.

I think only do-follow blog commenting is helpful to your site optimization.Back links from high page rank do-follow blogs are treated as quality back links. So, first you can try to collect all do-follow high page rank blogs and then comment them with good content.
