My Backlinks Disappeared!

Last week I checked my backlinks for my new site and it said I had 7. Today I checked again and nothing shows up.

Anybody else experience this?

It depends on the tool you are using. Also keep in mind that most backlinks tools don't or can't show every backlink.

Another issue, where did you get those backlinsk from? Did you check those sites out to see if your backlinks are still there?...

If you are using Yahoo Site Explorer or anything that pulls from it, that is probably why, as they shut it down a few days ago.

I used the free backlink checker called SEO Spyglass. Also I cross referenced the results with the checkers I found on Google.

Also the backlinks were outsourced here on the Warrior Forum, .edu links, social bookmarks.

Same thing happened to my site also, backlinks number is decreased, is any updated going at Google?

Sometimes google drop less quality back links. Build links from some quality SEO sources.

What sort of backlinks were those?
Comment spam links!? (If so, I won't be surprised if those disappeared)

I set up four websites at the same time and built four sets of equal number of backlinks to each of the four sites - and all four sites were growing fast for many keyword phrases ... All of the backlinks were showing up and then one of the sites started slipping back in ranking considerably. When I checked the backlinks on that one site, ALL of the backlinks had completely disappeared.

Not one backlink was to be found anywhere on any backlink checking site and when I went to check on the individual backlinks myself, they were all still working properly and connecting to my site.

All four sites were built the same and only one site's backlinks just vanished.

How can every single backlink just disappear from all radar on one site?

The other three sites backlinks are all still showing up and the site rankings are doing great. Go figure.

My backlinks showed back up again after being completely gone for two weeks. never seen anything like this.

Weird how the ranking fell and then came back with the backlinks returning.

I guess there's a first for everything.

Whoo thats pretty unique indeed, never experienced such thing before and builded / ranked tons of sites.
