I knoticed a change in the SERP results page a little while ago and when you mouse over the >> to the right of each listing you get a preview of the page. So I was wondering if this has affected the traffic to your sites and the bounce rate in any way. I don't get enough traffic from the search engines to really tell. Seems like it is a pretty handy improvement I think. But I am curious to know if it has helped or hindered with traffic for you. |

That page preview in the SERPs has been around for a few months. I haven't noticed any drastic changes in my SERP traffic. |

Agreed it's been around for awhile and does not seem to have an effect on ranking. It is a great way to see how Google has cached your site however.

I know it has been there for a while. I seldom pay a whole lot of attention to it. And that was why I was wondering if it had made any difference in visits and bounce rate. I had hoped that the bounce rate would be better as people can see what the site is before they go there. Kind of anyway. But does anyone bother to look at it, or like me they usually don't bother.

| I don't think many do. Instant preview has been around for about 12 months now. I've had a few people say 'wow' months and months afterwards. They use Google daily but didn't even notice the change. I'd say the same will happen with the updateed version - but the button is a touch more noticeable. |

Yes, they may affect a bit... Their impact is quite similar description and title impact. This screenshot helps user in making a decision whether to visit the page or not. But most of the visitors are less concerned about this. Since user is not shelling out anything, neither he is concerned about your bounce rate. So, nothing much to worry about. |
