I purchased this software two days ago and it has frustrated me beyond belief. The standard sites that it comes with are working fine, but anytime I try and add sites they ALWAYS fail. Has anybody purchased this software and had a good amount of success with it? |

Yes, I have fantastic success with it. Here's some tips for ya.. Use aged Google accounts, Use proxies, Use the Scheduler, Use it as a SECOND TIER backlinking source. |

| Thanks for responding. I have been using gmail and cpanel email accounts. I've also been using scraped proxies. Still, I have to be doing something wrong because NONE of the added sites are successfully creating accounts. I expected the software to run a lot faster than it does. Perhaps I'm spoiled by other seo tools.

Does it fail when you add bookmarking sites or add accounts to bookmarking sites? I like to add sites WITH and WITHOUT checking that box labeled "Treat www. domainname .com to be the same as domainname.com" as it sometimes adds more. How many sites are you adding at a time? Also, some sites will not create accounts successfully. Check to see if its a proxy error, captcha error or something else that you can remedy. After that just delete them and move on. |

Also, for me, scraped proxies were MUCH slower than when I use private proxies.

I'm considering purchasing private proxies. But it would be a wasted investment if I never end up using BMD anyway. I'm going to give this software another try.... because I would love to have social bookmarking automation in my arsenal.

You added 34,000 successfully into BMD??? There really is no reason to have that many sites. I usually do a PR check and remove 95% of all PR0 sites and most PR1 and 2 also. Most of those are neglected/broken. What are the submission logs saying as to why they failed? You should be fine sticking with a few dozen of your own added, or even just creating more accounts on the pre-loaded ones and have BMD rotate through those. Even with private proxies, it is relatively time consuming in submitting bookmarks and having to re-submit bookmarks that failed is not fun. I'm mostly using SocialAdr.com for bookmarks now, when I use bookmarks at all.

I use socialadr.com too. But I use social adr to backlink my money sites directly with higher quality links. I was hoping BMD could be an entire army of low value links towards my lower tiers. Thanks for the suggestions. I think you're right about the large number of added sites. ALthough the software looks really cool, it doesn't seem to be stable enough to support that many connections.

I think the software itself is ok. If you had enough proxies and enough bandwidth you could process thousands of sites, but it's simply not worth it in terms of the end result. On top of that, BMD charges an arm and a leg for their padded captcha costs. If you're just trying to index things, many services are available to do just that. At the end of the day, saving headaches is worth throwing down some $. |

LOL, Ive had BMD since it came out and to tell you the truth, that software drives me nuts. Occasionally I'll try to give it another go and never have had much luck getting it to work for me. Probably my impatience. I have been having good luck with Digi Traffic Accelerator for bookmarks, soooo much easier to use and more intuitive. |

I dusted off my copy of BMD today and forgot how many features it has. Took me a couple hours of messing with it to even remember how to use it! One frustration that I noticed is that many of the sites where I had previously set up accounts were dead websites. I think someone else mentioned this earlier, but it seems like a best practice to stick with the higher PR sites. If you're going to take the time to set up accounts (I had 60+ accounts on many of these sites), then you should probably stick with sites that are going to be around next year. I have a question for everyone... Are you using the spinning feature in the bookmark submissions? I'm testing a new SEO strategy that involves social bookmarking and wonder if anyone can offer their experience with spinning the bookmark content. Seems like this is going to be necessary if I'm going to bookmark my money site, but I've only used BMS for indexing links in the past, and I've only done a little bit of bookmarking to my money site. Here's why I think bookmarking the money site might be a good idea. I've been using SEO spyglass to check out my competitors backlinks in a very competitive niche and I continually see the use of social bookmarks making up about 10% of their total backlinks. And if I'm going to use bookmarks, I like BMD since you can use the scheduling feature to maintain and consistent drip feed of bookmarks for several months. I think I already know the answer to my question (spinning seems to be critical if I'm linking my money site), but I thought I'd check others experience too. |

bookmarking demon rocks! Over my Christmas holiday I scheduled out 178K bookmarks and estimate I got 40K stick around. And yes it has a positive effect on SERPs and is near enough hands free once it's set up ![]() Regards Dave |
