I have noticed for some time now that certain sites I visit, a contextual ad appears relating to that site on a completely different website. Ebay plus some other large sites for example shows up these contextual ads. I remember some time ago someone offered a system whereby you can target certain ads that show up on unrelated sites. I don't think it's PPV or is it? Does anyone know what I am talking about? I hope I am making myself clear here. I am interested in something like this. Thanks Peter |

I know vaguely what you are talking about. It was called remarketing or something like that. The ad follows a user to certain sites (at least until they delete their cookies). If done correctly, it can be very productive. Papa John's has gotten me to relent and order takeout numerous times with this method.
