Default Subdomain Websites - Do they rank well?

I purchased a WSO which allows me to create 500 websites (subdomains) on a top level website.

My main question is will the websites rank well? I won't have a problem with creating the sites but will it be worthwhile. The sites will be WP and or either using a script to create pages.

Thank you

Brian

Subdomains can rank well but they need to have quality content on them just liked a domain would have. However, if it is creating 500 websites at once then I would suggest checking to see what the difference is between each as far as the content goes and how you're expected to manage 500 websites with unique content.

I'd be creating the sites over a period of time.

Thank you

A sub-domain list just like any other site. You need good content and backlinks for it to rank.

I don't know if they will. Does anyone have an example of a well ranked subdomain?

Search "adsense" at google.com, when I look I see 3 on the first page and 3 on the second out of 152.000.000.
Hubpages has gone to subdomains, blogspot uses them, about uses them. Not as good as a top level domain but you can rank them. Main thing to watch for is interlinking make sure the content is good etc..

Nah, it's a waste of time...never had much luck with subdomains...

Why not create .info domains instead? They rank great, and you can get info domains for $.67 at godaddy if you use this trick that I wrote about at my website.

500 .info's at .67 each would cost you $335 bucks *shrugs* which aint bad. Then if you ever want to sell any of those sites at flippa, you can! Not easy to sell a subdomain site...

subdomains can rank well if your main domain is good and has higher ranking. Info domains are great but the price may be S0.67 to 2.00 first year but will go to regualar price $9 to $12 following year so if you are planning to keep sites log term make fewer sites with .com domains and some with subdomains.

You can always cancel after one year and buy 500 new info's at the cheap price, automate the moving of the old sites to the new domains...*shrugs* Or let the old ones expire then buy them again after the lockup period expires..*shrugs*

Or, if they're making tons of money (enough to cover the cost of renewal) then what does it matter if you pay $10 per domain to renew?
