I was told by someone that if you only put one keyword phrase in your keyword meta you have a better shot of it ranking high, but I feel I might lose some keywords I am ranking in now if they are not in the keyword meta. Any thoughts? At this point I am putting in 6 - 10 keywords.

I also thought that some time before and the thing is,It is not actually like that..if your site has got potential in terms of backlinks and age and content than you will rank higher both all the keywords in your domain...

Be sure that you can use more than one keywords in your meta keywords. Most famous websites use about 4-5 keywords and its OK.

Id say put more than one, and also use meta tags on every page on your website, not just the root. each sub page can be customised for different keywords, this is how I have had success anyway. |
