Default Social Monkee

Is anyone still using social monkee?

all the threads I have seen on this subject are a little old, and I wanted to garner some more "up to date" feedback on the service.

ive tried to sign up , but it keeps telling me I already have an account (which I dont) so before i get embroiled in a discussion with their support team, i wanted to check it was worth my time doing so!

cheers all

I use them from time to time.
Just looked through the report of one link submission I did two months ago and half of sites I submitted through them is dead now.
But free links are free links at the end.

Much like ExcelAddin I have also tried to sign up for Social Monkee and I have not been able to. It tells me I have an account that I cannot log into. I submitted a support tick and I have recieved no response so far. This doesn't give me much faith in there site at all!

Hello,

That's weird as we reply to every ticket we receive. Maybe we replied but you didn't get the response. Anyhow, if you still want to give SM a try, feel free to send me a PM!

As for the sites being down, this happens from time to time but they generally come back online a few hours later. We've optimized most of the sites and their uptime is a lot better these days.

I have used it. It works for me but the backlinks are not that powerful. But they are free, so you won't see me complaining.

How does Social Monkee compare to Backlinkskingdom in terms of backlink quality? I know BK is for submitting to article sites. Are these links of very similar value?

Social Monkee add your links to their social bookmarks websites have PR 0 - 1 . And urls have format: keybookmarks.com/story.php?title=yourtitle

No quality for them.

I use SM from time to time, there's no harm in garnering links from more sources, even if they don't count for much... Even profile links, which bear little to no value after Panda, I still build them for diversification purposes.

I use the full version of SM, though, I believe they are a $47 service if you wanna go full.

Totally worthless, especially with Panda. Sure, it gives you that 'feel good' moment that it must be helping your sites since you seem to be doing something, but in reality it is doing nothing.

I thought panda was related to on page, not backlinks? That seems to be the gist from what most people are saying.

What makes the links worthless? The fact the sites PR is low or the fact they aren't contexual links?

Yes, social monkee works really well. What I really like is that it's free, but also give you the offer to refer it to others and if you get them to sign up for free, you eventually get the full paid version for free yourself. I've done this with great effect.

That's the odd thing about these things, some people say they work really well then people such as remodeler say they are useless.

I guess some people base their opinion on personal experience and others just base it on assumptions.

I think you really have to try something for yourself to see whether it work for you or not. I've used SocialMonkee with a variety of sites, and it has worked on some but not on others - why? Different keyword competition of course. I think it's a good tool to have in your arsenal.

I used to use Social Monkey as second and third tier backlinks, but found alot of the links are now dead so stopped using it. It is free and if you can get enough referrals you can get the paid version for free.

So, it's probably a waste of time, right? Anything similar to it, but perhaps more reliable?

Just curious. Never used a similar tool before, I am not even convinced if it is that effective.

To be honest, anything which is automated like this where the sites are publicly view-able to the general public has become ineffective after awhile. I'm not to sure what would be as effective now opposed to creating your own private network of blogs itself.

A complete turn around - After a week of frustration, not even being able to register or get a response from SM, I was emailed by Colin, owner of Social Monkee. He as immediately helpful. He took care of the issue and now I am able to start using the tool. I will post later how well it works. Merry Christmas!

I've used Socialmonkee for 3 months, I sent it to my list as a free social bookmarking
service and got my 12 referals which boost me to 100 bookmarks per day for free.

Now Colin has a new site called Backlinkskingdom. Same setup and similar interface
but it does contextual backlinks. Expert membership for $97 onetime can use drip
and up to 100 contextual backlinks, 3 times per day, 9000 contextual backlinks per
month for only one time fee
. Other blog networks slug you with up to $67 per month
for similar service. You get 15 contextual backlinks per day for free.

I combined these socialmonkee and backlinkskingdom with onlywire and some fiverr gigs.
I spend about $35 per week total on backlinking, my adsense sites are booming.

About backlinkskingdom, do you spin the article or just submit it as it is without spinning?

I've heard people say that spinning the article isn't necessary because the search engines will still index the backlinks regardless, but on the tutorial videos they say that spinning the article increases index rate of the backlinks.

I am an upgraded user of SocialMonkee. Well it brings me lot of backlinks, but to be honest the quality of backlinks is too low. Anyway nowadays I am using it to bring links to the second tier of my link wheel.

I use it. I can't say it does much for my rankings as I do a lot of other link building too. I like using these types of sites to diversify my backlink profile, so I can go post my anchor text in more powerful spots.

I used it the other day on a site that I have very low ranking for, a site that I have not done much with. So this will be a good test of socialmonkee, to see if I can get it to rank a little higher with socialmonkee links. I am a premium member but I am skeptical as to its value because whenever I read reviews of it I seldom see anyone saying how great it is or how well it works. Seems like a good idea but maybe they need to concentrate on building a network of higher rated sites to place our posts on.

I hope if anyone has success with social monkee they will post it here. If I do, I will post.
