When it comes to generating back-links with blogs, you need to:

1) Find blogs that provide a ‘do follow’ (the only kind of blogs where a link back to your site will count as a “vote”.)

2) You explore and read the blog and then you make an insightful, useful or relevant comment to the post that is likely to be approved by the blog’s administrator.

3) Include your back-link with relevant anchor text on the blog.

4) Rinse & Repeat

You should not worry too much, because your website is still new. Just continue building quality backlinks and sooner or later you will get a steady ranking from what you will have achieved.

100% agree, getting quality backlinks each months is a really good way to raise fast in SERP and stay there without "dancing" or getting penalized in the coming months.

Hey guys, a few questions:

1. I'm trying to figure out how many backlinks I should build per day to my site. The site is a fairly new one, has been up since November 2011 w/PR4. I have yet to start any backlinking and was wondering at what velocity I should shoot for. The site in question is for a law firm.

2. For geographically target keywords ("detroit bankruptcy lawyer"), how long could it take to rank in top 3 of SERPS? Assuming building a few backlinks a day from the likes of linkvana or other similar services.

3. How long does a "google dance" last for?

Consistency is key. Whatever your strategy, stay consistent. Google will notice if you get 2,000 backlinks off of a $5 dollar site in a day. Keep what your doing going and it will settle.

Variety in links and anchor-text is key. PR is also essential, 1 PR3 link can be worth more than 15 PR0 links, Google still favors quality over quantity.

hi...
this is a long time when your site is become older till now. i don't think that this is still as a problem to get links form the other sites and you are not gained by that activity. you can use other seo techniques like social bookmarking, profile linking, blog commenting. getting the backlinks from the blog as dofollow is good sign to get the high pr.

Well .gov and .edu are one the best back links but articles that have to relate to your content is helpful too.

Rule # 1 of SEO = EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON YOUR SITE

Don't fall into the trap of just going by general advice. Every estimate regarding number of links to safely create within a fixed timeframe is based on:
- The age of your site
- The quality of content on your site
- The amount of content on your site
- The amount of existing links/activity
- The pattern of linking

Obviously, a brand new website that has zero backlinks and only 1 page of content will NOT do well if it suddenly gets 1,000 backlinks within 3 days.

Google's staff is smart... but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that is NOT a natural SEO pattern.

Alternately, if you have an aged website with tonnes of content and thousands of backlinks, 1,000 new links in 3 days may not be too bad.

Here's a basic guide that I like to follow:

Safe Approach (new site, little content, few existing backlinks)
Add max of 10 backlinks per day

Standard Approach (existing site, decent content, 300+ existing backlinks)
Add max of 25 backlinks per day

Aggressive Approach (aged site, extensive content, 1,000+ existing backlinks)
Add max of 100 backlinks per day

That said - everything about SEO depends on so many different elements of your website, the quality of your backlinks and your competition that it is hard to generalize.

Dear you should not worry about your blog ranking as it all happens with new sites and you don't stop building your links and keep on going making backlinks as you will get the same rank again after a month or so if you keep on working on one pace.

You can get backlinks from .edu site or .gov site. It would be helpful to get high PR fast for your site. Moreover you can create backlinks from other blog site too. You have said that you got about 200 links from 3 blogs. This is not a matter of worry. All you need to continue the link building jobs.
