Okay, so everyone says that it is best to get backlinks from high pagerank sites and that's what I've been trying to do. I am using seoquake as a tool. When I visit this one website, on their homepage it says the pagerank is 4, but when I click to another page on their website (their blog section) to leave a comment, it no longer says that the pagerank is 4. Instead, there is a question mark for pagerank. Basically what i'm asking is, are individual pages on a website ranked differently for page rank? With SEOquake, the homepage of a website always tells the pagerank, but when you leave the homepage and visit another page, the pagerank is usually a questionmark (undetectable). I left a comment (backlink) on the blog section of a website who has a pagerank of 4 on their homepage. The blog is still under the same domain name just on a different page. Is this still counting as a high pagerank backlink or would the backlink have to be on their homepage (with a PR of 4)? |

PageRank is applied to pages only, not the entire site. So it's not technically a high PageRank link if it's somewhere else on the site and never sees the light of PR. Forum profile dealers tend to mislead buyers with this... |
