I came across these homepages with REAL high PR but WITHOUT any backlink. Is that possible? And under what situation can this be possible? |

Likely not, chances are that the domain was once redirected to another domain. Google will associate that PageRank with the domain that its redirecting too. That is until the domain isn't redirected any longer and Google recrawls it. Once Google recrawls it the domains PageRank will be adjusted and shown. In this case it'd be a PR N/A |
