Millions of Links!!!???

Hi all

I have a site which I built a couple of weeks ago. I have been doing all the usual backlinking that we all probably do but noticed a weird stat this week.

When using the SEO Firefox plugin i see that my site has 1.6million gov links and 900,000 edu links. how can this be so? My site is still on page 6 and all the sites above me have less links than I'm supposed toing have. Can there be a delay between gaining links and Google recognising them?

I don't think this stat is right is it? Is it a bug in the plug in? Could it be real? I'm still a newbie so lacking in experience.

Any thoughts friends???

Could you post the site URL so everybody could provide their own particular slant? How old is the domain and what about the on page SEO that Google seems to love? These are all factors that will contribute to page rank.

Its an error in the Seo for Firefox addon. I have seen it happen in the past, the addon had a glitch and displayed the results for Google or some other site. Usually you can refresh the page a couple times, or uninstall/reinstall the addon and you will get the true results.

yes i reinstalled the plugin, refreshed but the still comes up with the same readings.

Cant pm at the mo but if someone could post an address I will send them the url.
