Cast study of ranking from crap paid blog links

Someone was asking about the 3 month old site airjordansonsales.com, which has a Google pr-3, although it doesn't even register in Open Site Explorer, (who's last update included dropping lower quality link sources).

A Google search for airjordansonsales.com yields some 28,600 total results, every one I spot checked was a low quality, completely unrelated blog post, often also sporting links to ugg boot knockoff sites.

Presumably these links were secured through one of the lowest quality paid blog network posting service.

Conclusion: paid crap text links still work, at least in the short term.
