Arrow Youtube & Bitly Links - Bad Friends?

So here's the deal:

I recently uploaded a completely legitimate how-to video on Youtube, showing people how to find promo codes on Amazon.

The video was then flagged by a user and subsequently removed by Youtube (Rejected: Content Inappropriate). I re-read the Youtube community guidelines and could not find any reason as to why it was removed. I therefore appealed the decision, only to be advised the next day that they would uphold their decision and not allow the video. Worst of all, they would not advise what the reasoning was. This not only leaves me without a video, but without any idea of what to correct?

I started looking for answers and came across this video from HappyCabbie on Youtube:

The only thing that he outlines thats a possibility is the fact that I used a bit.ly link. The link linked to Amazon.com (affiliate link obviously). Although there is nothing in Youtube's terms that speaks out against this, Happy Cabbie has seen this before...

Has anyone had this experience or can provide any thoughts on URL shorteners within Youtube?

Look forward to some insights.

From my Experience In youtube If a Video is flagged then it is the work done by your competitor.

The only URL shortener I have used with YouTube is the PrettyLink plug-in on one of my own blogs. That was only on a handful of videos, but they are still up and running today without any problems.

Maybe YouTube and Google would appreciate it more if you used goo.gl...
