Well I've been working on the perfect SEO plan (I know, it doesn't exist), but I've tried to knuckle down and work out the best way to get Google to go "Ooo... A new site... A new contender for the #1 spot". So here's the plan. Just let me know if you think/know it'll do terribly. Let me know if I've missed a vital part out. And so on. 1. Build quality .edu and .gov backlinks to the money site. 2. Submit RSS Feeds for the money site. 3. Bookmark Each page of the money site. 4. Build a Wordpress blog for one of the main keywords with unique content pointing to the money site. 5. Using AMR, build backlinks to the Wordpress blog 6. Using LinkThunder, build backlinks to the Wordpress blog 7. Submit RSS Feeds for Wordpress blog 8. Build Blogger blog for an LSI keyword related to the Wordpress blog and link to it. 9. Using AMR, build backlinks to the Blogger blog 10. Using LinkThunder, build backlinks to the Blogger blog 11. Submit RSS Feeds for Blogger blog 12. Repeat with more Blogger blogs so there are 5 - 10 blogger blogs pointing to the Wordpress blog. 13. Repeat with a new Wordpress blog for another main keyword 14. Continue to slowly build high PR/.edu/.gov backlinks to the money site. I hope that all makes sense. |

And no, before anyone asks, if this gets a positive response, I won't throw it together in a PDF and sell it for $17 in the WSO section. If it gets a good few thumbs up then I'll be implementing it with a new site and see where it gets me in the rankings. |

It looks like a pretty solid plan. I can testify that AMR gets your links out there, but I've noticed that quite a few of the pages never get indexed, or seem to drop off. That said though, it's still a good strategy. Before you jump into all that work, be sure to do your keyword research and site setup correctly. Without doing that, all your efforts after that are wasted. |

Of course, the site and on page SEO is pretty solid, and I'm trying to promote a site with 2 thrown together articles. There's over 50 pages on there and I'm adding on a daily basis so lots of fresh unique content daily. Any other avenues of backlinks you think I might have missed? Any other avenues of "Google look at me"? |

It works, but it sounds like a ton of work to me. If your site is quality content that will actually provide the reader their answers, bookmarking and RSS can help, but don't do it for better rankings. What kind of edu/gov links are you using? Many people think spamming edu/gov profile links are supposed to be any better. High PR blog comments, in-content links from articles/networks/guest posting and high PR homepage backlinks are the way to go. |

Also, make sure you vary your anchor text. Using all the same anchors to a page is beginning to be a major issue.

Yeah I will be using lots of different anchor texts. Thanks Casey. I won't be spamming .edu and .gov sites. I will be looking to find extremely related ones to then get links from etc. It's not that much work really as a lot of it is automated so can run while I update the site's content and so on. |

ive heard that .edu and .gov dont really hold that much more weight as opposed to just a normal high pr link so dont just concentrate on those links, normal links will do just fine

Lots of opposing views on .edu and .gov - Some say they're amazing and some say they're just like any other link. So I'll make sure I do a few incase the former are correct. |

I would suggest not using free blogs on the same network. Use like wordpress, posterous, livejournal etc as well. make 1 of each instead of 5 from one site. Does that make sense? It gives you more IP diversity. |

Seems to be a great plan with in my point of view, surely is going to be working if you are going to be using quality domains for preforming backlinking.....

![]() I would agree, diverrsity is a key: - have different anchor text, not only exact match - have different IP address to link to you - have different types of backlinks But after all how much backlinking you will do depands how competitive your KWs are. | |
