Just to check,if i submit my posts to guest blog directories,can i submit to article directories as well?

It depends on the site but usually submitting duplicate content would result to the removal of your guest blog article.

if you let somebody guest blog on your site, would you be comfortable knowing that they had also posted the same piece all over the web? think about it...

The basic idea behind guest blogging is that you are seeking high quality, relevant links rather than a myriad low quality links that are typical of the mass article submission process.

Many bloggers who offer the facility do so on the basis that your article will not be published elsewhere. I do that myself.

If your article were to be published on my site, you would be getting a PR4 link from a leading Self Improvment site. My site is PR5, but my blog is PR4. In return, I would be getting quality (hopefully) unique content. So it's a win-win idea.

Not correct . Article syndication is my major source of traffic. Whenever I write a new article, my sequence of distribution is:

1. Publish it on my own blog/website
2. Forward it to my list of niche focused blog webmasters who, accept and publish my "guest" content.
3. Publish it in on Ezine Articles.

This is the process of "article syndication", and as such, never involves unique content. Unique content is very rarely required, whereas original content (content you have either written yourself, or can claim full ownership) is.

Yes you can but only if you don't insert a keyword in it.

The blog will make the rules on what they will accept. And in my experience, they want unique content. If you publish it else where, you are breaking the TOS the blog set up for you to publish your article on their site, in most cases.

Good luck finding blogs that will allow you to syndicate the material you post on their site in order to get a link.

It depends on the blog's rules and regulations. Usually, mods or blog owners do not allow of any duplication. Might as well abide by their laws.

If you use guest blogging to just build a few links then good luck but you are losing the essence of guest blogging.

You can certainly build quality backlinks thru guest posting and in my opinion is probably the best of-page seo technic but the main reason that someone should guest blog to other blogs is to build relations with the readers and the owner of the blog. This could lead to targeted traffic to your own site and traffic from guest blogging converts much better than any other kind of traffic because if you guest post frequently in authority blogs you will become an expert on your field in readers eyes and it will be much easier to make them trust you and buy your products or services.

Another reason is that you build relations with the blog owners, the majority of those bloggers are extremely influential in their niche and only a word of them on their blog or social networks about your business can make a huge difference!

A true guest blog should be on another site related to your niche that has a bunch of followers. If you are in the right niche, this can help with traffic from REAL people who are interested in what you have to say, not just the actual back link for SEO purposes.

Guest blogging should be utilised by people who are passionate about what they are writing about, thats when you get the full potential out of it.

PS I dont do it but my girlfriend has for fashion related stuff and has had huge increases of traffic from those websites because of it.

She just got linked on FORDS facebook.... lucky her
