Website ranking for keywords only on home page

All of my web pages have been indexed by google but site is ranking for keywords only on home page. Could this be due to error on my on page seo? Why is this happening? Is there anything that needs to be fixed?

You are probably only sending links to the homepage, in which case only the homepage will rank (most of the time). Consider sending links to inner pages if you want them to rank well.

Thank you, I am new to seo, what do you mean by sending links to homepage? Is this through off page seo? i.e. when building back links? How do I send links to inner pages?

Yes, link building is off page SEO. When getting links, you could send them to your homepage (xxx.site.com) or an inner page (xxx.site.com/page1).

well, your homepage has enough content and i believe if you have the most similar content at you inner pages then you must change. i believe it would help the inner pages to come up in SERP's.

same with me ...but many of inner pages is on 5th 50 position. It means they need boost and links and time.

THe case maybe is that your backlinks are primarily linking to your website's homepage so the one that will rank in the SERPS would be the homepage.
