Hi, When I update my blog and check 10-15 minutes later if the post has been updated using the site: function, my posts are always indexed within 10-15 minutes of publishing. However, I just published a post and it's been 2 hours and it still hasn't been indexed. Does this mean I've been penalized. I know I'm probably just being paranoid, but does it mean anything in when your posts take significantly longer to get indexed? Thanks |

That's really good. 15 minutes are not too much. Wish you a very best of luck in future.

Your just being paranoid, 15 minutes is awesome and very fast as a benchmark. You can only be indexed when the bots come round so wait for them to appear |

I wouldnt worry mate, some times it can take days to get indexed for new articles / pages etc. If you are worried just build a few links to it through twitter or some social bookmarks and you will be sweet.

yeah you're being paranoid....you should be patient in the SEO game and shoot for results in time. Don't get so anxious and wanting to see results immediately...as that mindset will doom you to fail. You should start with a plan of what you want to accomplish ..then set out to accomplish it and don't expect to see killer results in a day or two. Just chill and keep building content and they will be indexed when the google bots come around and crawl your site.

hey mate, as gary stated.. your post only get indexed when the crawler comes around your blog or your rss instead.. so be patient since a 15 minute indexing timeline is really awesome.. some marketers need to wait longer.. so patience and all the best!! |

Well it normally takes 12 hour to index the page in Google if your is bit older new site can take more time. To index faster in Google use webmaster tools and submit the sitemap and tell the Google after how much time you update your site

No you are not paranoid. If my pages are not indexed within 5 seconds, I would have already freaked out.

If you want to increase crawling rate of a website then once you post some content then you must do social bookarmking of your post so your post will be indexed by search engines
