niche blogs adsense revenue

Hey Warriors,

I'm wondering what type of adsense goals you set and accomplish before moving on to a different site?

Right now I have two blogs I am focusing on so far only one is monetized with adsense and I have made a few bucks with it.

I have heard from multiple places it is a good idea to get something going before you start something else. Curious what you guys watch for in the early stages of a site.

I myself personally believe that a blog should be able to make between 7-$10 per day minimum in a few months once I've finished my onsite and off site optimization and initial backlinking on ALL it's pages.

It doesn't necessarily mean I only work on one site for that long though. As a general rule of thumb I'll work on up to 10 blogs a month. To some this is a small number to be working on, but making money online isn't a race, it's a goal.

If it's not making what I calculate to recoup and make a profit within that time period I'll look at selling the site. Fortunately I've not hit that problem yet.

Realistically for me each of my adsense niche site does about $2-$5 / day. I usually set my goal at getting the sites ranked rather than setting a number on adsense revenue.

However, my approach is usually work on multiple niche sites at once. Normally 10 per month, but I'm challenging myself and doing 40 sites in december!

In my experience it depends.....

For examples.....
"The Low Hanging Fruit Method"
I classify these as the "micro niche" sites. The sites that get minimal monthly searches but that are easy to rank for. These type of sites usually pay out at .50 a click or less / example site: printable-huggiescoupons.com/

These type of sites you have to build in mass, and play the numbers came. If you spend to much time on these types of sites your ROI will not be worth it.

Note: there is always exceptions to the rules....some times these sites can bring in upwards of 3k per/month

"Authority Sites"
These Type of sites usually take effort "but" can be well worth it. These type of sites are up-dated regularly with interesting content for a hungry crowd. These are not limited to but are sites like professions - example: whatis-nursing.info/ or question and answer sites where there is interaction.

Conclusion:
It take effort in one form or another, "sites in masses" or "masses on your site". If you weigh it out they both end up with about the same amount of work.

Myself, I build the masses and look for the sites that may have the potential of becoming an "authority" site.
